Culture for innovation framework
Digitalization and automatization, IoT revolution and artificial intelligence has threaten existing business models. Those organizations that rely only on incremental innovation and line extension, or do not innovate, are threatened to extinct. Therefore, purpose of innovation is to ensure better competitive position and survival of the organization.
Framework
Framework for acheiving change with our set of methods, starting with evaluation, strategizing, targeting and executing programmed set of activities.

We discovered "complete" and "short" innovation processes.

Innovation process - complete or short?
The "complete" process enables disruptive products and services to appear and is the essence of our culture for innovation concept, while short innovation process allows for only incremental innovation.
Is your innovation process "complete" or "short"?
Digitalization and automatization, IoT revolution and artificial intelligence has threaten existing business models. Those organizations that rely only on incremental innovation and line extension, or do not innovate, are threatened to extinct. Therefore, purpose of innovation is to ensure better competitive position and survival of the organization.
We are the first to recognize difference between “short” from “complete” innovation processes, where “short” process means that internal resources are directly challenged to innovate within boundaries of organization and existing business model. Those tasks are as a paradox, usually a consequence of market pressure to move beyond line extension innovation, but can not be achieved for present organization can not respond adequately with process that is so directly bound to existing ways. In other words, reason for that lies in the fact that “short” process involves resources that are limited to internal R&D and processes that preserve and protect existing model. In order to change that, substantial change to the organizational culture will be needed and “complete” process established.
To be more explicit, for “complete” process, the main challenge lies in the nature of innovation, where change needs to happen on the level of organizational culture to allow all available sources of innovation to get involved. When process is successful the culture for innovation is achieved and Metrics4Innovation™ score increased, meaning that external as well as employee sources of innovation are efficiently involved in reaching strategic Wants with much faster pace. They jointly allow for new and disruptive products and business models to appear.
Let's make it simpler!
We help large industry to develop new capability to innovate not only in products but also in business models and marketing, and to become disruptive towards old ways and products. We implement long innovation process, and measure accheavement using Metrics4Innovationtm.
Is your innovation process opened or closed?
When “complete” process is established, and change in organizational culture achieved, tremendous organizational energy can be released and organization start to grow and profit from new external sources of innovation. Organization learns how to scout for that sources through technology scouting process, and how to bring answers to strategic questions back home. This is called an Open innovation and allows magic to happen.

When organization knows strategic Wants, it can effectively explore sources of innovation outside its boundaries. Those organizations that are performing dominantly “short” process for innovation suffers from many obstacles when trying to source outside innovation. Those obstacles are merely cultural and are expressed as “not invented here” and “not sold here” syndromes.

Let's make innovation magic!

Open innovation model allows external sources of innovation to appear through technological scouting.
Open innovation model, illustrating how WANTs can be reached through technology scouting (FIND and GET) outside organization boundaries, and then brought back to be MANAGED inside.
